I’m finally understanding how to apply Isaiah to me. I was
the nations in darkness, who was brought into the light and filled with joy. It
was my oppressor who is gone. And praise be to Him forever more because of it!
When it talks about how the Lord will have no mercy on the
fatherless and widows that are wicked, that always seemed harsh, but I see the
justice of it. I guess I didn’t really understand what it was talking about
before. But the Lord is no respecter of persons. And you are responsible for
the choices you make no matter the
difficulty of your circumstances. If you choose evil, you cannot be rewarded
for choosing good. That is the law of the harvest again.
I’ve also been noticing how prideful the tribe of Ephriam is
in all of this. That’s me, that’s my family. We need to be wary and careful to
be on the Lord’s side.
