As Isaiah is describing Christ, I am touched by the things
that the Spirit brings to my life: wisdom and understanding, fear of the Lord,
the spirit of counsel and might, knowledge, the ability to judge righteously,
peace, and kindness, righteousness and faithfulness. Those are the things I
need to fill my life with to be like Him. And the way to do this, this is
telling me, is being filled with the Spirit that brings those things.
How will Christ rule in the Millennium? That’s how I need to
try and rule in my home. It won’t be an angry or contentious place. I pray that
I can be filled with the Spirit today and help my home to be peaceful and
millennial!
I also feel moved every time I read about the gathering of
Israel. I need to do more to be a good missionary and visiting teacher and
mother. So those I love can be gathered and live in joy with me. Being closer
to the Spirit would definitely help with that also.
