This chapter reminds me how important it is to have our own
testimony. I always think that is one of the most important things I can teach
my kids is to pray and know for themselves. Even thought Laman and Lemuel had
been taught the truth, Nephi was the only one to follow this step and get his
own testimony. And that is what saved him.
Well, it also makes me think of Sam and the spiritual gift
of believing the testimony of others. How sweet and humble that is. (D&C
46:14)
